1. Turn Off the Computer and PhoneTo be turned off from the world for 15 minutes is magical. Think about it, even your electronics have to be a charge and reset sometimes, why don't you? Take this time to read a book, go make some tea, or just meditate on yourself. Phones and computers are HUGE distractions, and you can find yourself getting lost on screen time. Schedule your screen-free time, put your phone on DND(do not disturb), and spend time reconnecting with yourself.
2. Read a BookDid you know that reading can help reduce stress by 68%? When reading, your muscles are relaxed, and the tension on your body is eased. Pick up a few good reads whether it's fiction, non-fiction, or a magazine. Getting lost in a book is one of the best feelings and its top on our list! 10-15 minutes of a book every day could easily add up.
3. Write in Your Gratitude Journal
Wow oh wow has this helped me a ton! Gratitude isn't about just being happy about what you have, it's about being mindful. Take 5-10 minutes to write down the things that really bring joy to your life. Even on a crappy day, you need to focus on what brings you joy, instead of what ruins it. Basically, buy a cute journal, and write them down on paper instead of typing on the computer. There's something about writing down affirmations, and things that you are grateful for that brings them more to life! Of course, there are endless things that you can do, but that depends on your life, so dig deep! My own self-care is waking up to a quiet house and enjoying a cup of coffee without scrolling on my phone.
